Job Summary

The Stores Clerk works under the direction of the Parts Manager and receives aircraft parts and consumables and distributes them to applicable jobs and personnel.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receives aircraft parts and consumables in a timely manner
  • Establish accounts and relationships with aircraft supply vendors for the repair of aircraft parts.
  • Liaise with PRM for purchase approvals.
  • Participate in annual inventory count at any base as required.
  • Report regularly to Stores Manager regarding procurement status.
  • Issues and designates, for shipment, aircraft parts and consumables to applicable jobs and personnel
  • Liase with departmental personnel for required tools and parts
  • Monitors consumable stock levels and re-orders when necessary
  • Foster a healthy working environment and promote a positive climate within the workplace.
  • Perform and uphold Wasaya’s Customer Care Commitments to both internal and external customers.
  • Any other related duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications

Minimum Skills and Qualifications

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working in rotables environment, preferably in the aviation or automotive industry.
  • 1 years’ experience working with database and spreadsheet programs.
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to apply understanding to carry out written and verbal instructions.
  • Able to maintain filing systems and basic databases.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Meticulous record and database maintenance skills
  • Superior telephone manners and strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent computer skills, MS-Office preferable and proficient in use of internet and email
  • Able to work in a team environment, as well as unsupervised.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally always.
  • The ability to communicate in Oji-Cree or Ojibway is an asset.
  • Experience with and/or knowledge of First Nations Organizations is an asset.

Working Conditions

  • Travel may be required.
  • Weekend and evening work may be required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift or move up to 20lbs.
  • Manual dexterity is required to use desktop computers and peripherals.
