Job Summary
The Technical Records Department consists of a Supervisor and Clerks and is located at the Company’s main hangar in Thunder Bay. The employees of the Technical Records Department work under the direction of the Director of Maintenance. The Computerized Maintenance Program (CMP) used in the Technical Records Department is RAAS (Remote Access Aviation System).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Processing all maintenance related paperwork as directed
- Completing any required training prior to the due dates
- Assisting technical records supervisor with delegated tasks
- Shift scheduling for all of maintenance
- Invoicing all billable task cards
- Submitting log pages to Trends for processing
- Reviewing task cards monthly and verifying the status
- Defect deferrals – updating MEL status based on MEL category on log page.
- Collection and verification of aircraft journey log pages
- Data entry of aircraft flight time and cycles as well as maintenance actions
- Researching aircraft records and component history
- Verifying, scanning/uploading, and filing job cards
- Producing reports as required
- Foster a healthy working environment and promote a positive climate within the workplace.

- Any other related duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in the aviation industry would be an asset.
- Previous Aircraft Maintenance/Records Management experience or education is preferred.
- Strong customer service orientation toward both internal and external customers
- Superior analytical, time management and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
- Able to maintain filing systems and basic databases.
- Meticulous records maintenance skills
- Superior interpersonal skills
- Must have excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent computer skills, MS-Office preferable, proficient in use of internet and email
- Able to work in a team environment, as well as unsupervised.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally always.
- The ability to communicate in Oji-Cree or Ojibway is an asset.
- Experience with and/or knowledge of First Nations Organizations is an asset.
Working Conditions
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Weekend and evening work may be required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift or move up to 20lbs.
- Manual dexterity is required to use desktop computers and peripherals.
