Station Coordinator
Job Summary
The Station Coordinator is the primary administrative and clerical support to station management.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Required to perform primary clerical duties, which include: Answering phone/e-mails, flight watching, administrative duties (faxing/filing), receive payments from customers, contact/communicate with customers, creating of airway bills and manifests, data entry, assisting the Base Manager with various office duties
• Maintain constant computerized flight watching/following of multiple company aircrafts
• Update Wasaya’s flight operations page with flight status’
• Create airway bills according to billing requirements and manifests for “same day shipping” in a timely/efficient manner
• Required to monitor, compile, distribute, and communicate various operational details to managers, coworkers, and other employees within Wasaya
• Answer and follow-up with customer inquiries promptly and accordingly
• Perform and uphold Wasaya’s Customer Care Commitments to both internal and external customers
• Complete any other duties assigned by the Base Manager
Skills and Qualifications
Education/Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent is an asset
• Previous airline experience is an asset
Skills/Abilities:
• Must be a self-starter with proven ability to work with minimal supervision and in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Must have outstanding organizational skills, with excellent multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
• Must work well under pressure and pay strong attention to detail
• Strong work ethic, flexibility and a positive team attitude
• Excellent computer skills, MS-Office preferable and proficient in use of internet and email
• Able to deal with customers in all types of situations tactfully, sensitively, diplomatically, and still maintain professionalism
Assets:
• Ability to communicate in Oji-Cree or Ojibway is an asset
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
• Ability to lift or move up to 20lbs
• Manual dexterity required to use desktop and peripherals
• Overtime as required
• Some weekend work is required
• Some travel may be required
Proof of vaccination is MANDATORY
