Wasaya’s Flight Attendants are responsible for ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of passengers during flights. Based in Sioux Lookout, Ontario, they provide exceptional customer service while enforcing Wasaya’s safety regulations, assisting with emergencies, and representing the airline in a professional manner.
Duties
- Complete all duties and responsibilities for passenger safety and comfort, in accordance with the approved Wasaya Airways Flight Attendant Manual along with company policies.
- During an emergency, follow the instructions of the captain.
- Complete all required safety announcements and demonstrations.
- Plan, direct and control the service as required.
- Always conduct oneself with professionalism.
- Successfully complete all required Flight Attendant Training
- Foster a healthy working environment and promote a positive climate within the workplace.
- Perform and uphold Wasaya’s Customer Care Commitments to both internal and external customers.
- Any other related duties as assigned,

Experience
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent is required.
- Post-Secondary education in a related field is an asset.
- Previous Flight Attendant experience is an asset.
- Superior customer service skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain Airport Security Pass
- Professional and neat appearance
- Reliable transportation to and from airport
- Excellent computer skills, MS-Office preferable, proficient in use of internet and email
- Able to work in a team environment, as well as unsupervised.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally.
- The ability to communicate in Oji-Cree or Ojibway is an asset.
- Previous airline experience is an asset.
- Experience with and/or knowledge of First Nations Organizations is an asset.
Working Conditions
- Travel is required.
- Overtime as required.
- Weekend and evening work is required.
- Overnights scheduled as needed.
- Availability on short notice.
- Outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Exposure to loud noises, and other hazards of the job.
- Ability to lift or move up to 50lbs. Repetitively.
- Manual dexterity is required to use desktop computers and peripherals.
