Check-in Time
All passengers must check-in at their departure station at least 45 minutes prior to departure with the Wasaya Airways Agent.   Travelling guests who have not checked in 20 minutes prior to the scheduled aircraft departure will be deemed as a no-show guest and their seat re-sold.

Change of Plans
Should your reservation no longer be required because of a change in your plans, please let Wasaya Airways know.  Someone may be waiting for a cancellation to make an important trip.

Denied Boarding
To ensure on-time departure for our travelling guests, it is important that passengers observe the above check-in times in order that they are not denied boarding.

Please be aware that, in the interest of flight safety, passengers under the influence of alcohol will not be permitted to board Wasaya Airways' aircraft.

Information about what can and can not be brought on board passenger aircraft from the CATSA website is available this link.

Checked Baggage Allowance:

Passenger’s name and address must be affixed to all pieces of luggage. Wasaya's free baggage allowance is 2 pieces of checked-in baggage and one piece of carry-on, the total of which may not exceed 70 pounds (31.8 Kg). Excess charges will be assessed on any piece exceeding these limits by the Wasaya Airways Agent. Excess baggage will be accommodated on a space-available basis. Dimensions of any one piece should not exceed special handling requirements and individual items must not weigh more than 50lbs. Any Free Baggage allowance includes one carry-on piece which should not exceed 10 lbs, and which must fit under the seat. The maximum combined weight of all pieces accepted as checked baggage will be 100 lbs per fare-paying passenger (70lbs free, 30lbs excess). Baggage over this limit must be shipped as cargo.

Cabin Baggage Allowance:

Limit of one (1) regulation sized piece, not exceeding 6” in height or width and 4 kilograms (10 pounds) per ticketed passenger.  Any items exceeding these limits will have to be checked and will be subject to excess charges if applicable.

Excess Baggage

Excess baggage will be assessed at the applicable rate per pound to the destination of the guest's itinerary.  Excess baggage is deemed space available, but will be priority over regular air freight.

Baggage Liability

Wasaya Airways' maximum liability for lost or damaged luggage is $ 250.00 CAD per person, per incident.  Wasaya Airways assumes no liability for fragile, valuable or perishable articles.  Guests will be asked to complete a Luggage Liability Release form upon checking in these items.  Please inform us of any loss or damage to luggage within 24 hours of arrival to your destination.

Live Animals and household pets.
Wasaya Airways will accept household pets such as Dogs or Cats for carriage as checked baggage to all our destinations but not as part of the free baggage allowance.  A handling fee is charged as extra handling is required.  Kennels are not to be accepted as part of the free allowance.  If pets are not in suitable approved containers, they will be refused carriage.  Wasaya will accept pets on a space available basis only.

Due to the lack of temperature control in the rear cargo hold of the B1900D and PC12 aircraft a limited liability release waiver must be completed by the shipper of all animals.  Temperatures can drop well below freezing in these areas even though the passenger cabin is comfortable.  Due to the changing altitude temperatures, the waiver is required all year round.

·          Arrangements must be made at least 24 hours in advance, (the shipper being responsible for making the arrangements)

·          Animals should be odorless, harmless and inoffensive

·          Animals must be properly caged (for the animals safety)

·          Cages must be leak proof

·          Pet owners are completely responsible for the live animal

·          Live animals will not be checked beyond point of transfer to another carrier

·          Pets may not be interlined (to another carrier)  Shipper is responsible for rechecking the animal in with the other carrier and should check with the other carrier on any conditions of carriage.

·          Pets are limited to one per cage.

Contact Wasaya directly for further information regarding the shipment of live animals.
